Do I need a passport to go on the cruise?
The Liberty Ship STRONGLY recommends all guests travel with a valid passport, or one of the new Passport Cards. However, it is not necessarily required. PLEASE CLICK HERE for a complete explanation of the travel documentation required to attend The Liberty Ship.
Should I fly into Ft. Lauderdale? Miami? West Palm Beach?
The Ft. Lauderdale Airport is the closest. Make sure to look at all three airports for the best airfare, but take into consideration that the other two will include additional travel time by car or shuttle, which may vary upon traffic. What are the suggested Flight Arrival and Departure Times?
Consider arriving a day or two earlier so that you can take advantage of the local attractions in the South Florida area. This also helps to avoid potential flight delays, baggage collection and transfer problems that could occur. However, if you are arriving on the same day your cruise departs, please schedule your arrival and departure flights as follows:
- Ft. Lauderdale – arrive no later than 1:00 pm. Depart no earlier than 12:00 pm.
- Miami – arrive no later than 12:30 pm. Depart no earlier than 12:30 pm
- West Palm Beach – arrive no later than 12:00 pm. Depart no earlier than 1:00 pm.

How do I get to the ship?
The Liberty Ship is working on some transportation options to/from the Harbor Beach Marriot to Port Everglades. We will provide those details here when the arrangements have been made.
Taxi Service: The hotel is located one mile from Port Everglades, and the approximate cost of a taxi from the hotel is $10. The approximate cost of a taxi ride to/from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport is $15-$25.
Car Rentals: Most car rental companies provide courtesy shuttles to/from the cruise terminal. Please check with your preferred rental company prior to making reservations to ensure they offer this service.

Can I park at the hotel, or at the Port?
